The food was really good. My picky kids loved everything they ate. I do have to say, the fried chicken was a little on the sweet side, so that was surprising. Service was great.

Restaurante Elizabeth is getting some positive vibes for its cuisine, so we went to check it out.
Just off Dodds Ave. in a lovely refurbished house, the restaurant has plenty of parking, a fence and a great ambiance.
We began with a drink I am unfamiliar with, Tepache in pineapple. I am not a drinks person at all, but this fermented, slightly alcoholic drink made a bit like kimchi for drinkers is out of this world. Not sugary or overdone, it is what all drinks should aspire to be. Very low alcohol and served in a big glass on ice like a margarita.
We ordered 2 pollo tacos (chicken) and an entree called pechuga a la plancha served with rice, pinto beans, salad and pineapple with red sauce and tortillas. It was all perfect together. All very fresh and exciting with vegetables and delicious chicken throughout - it was like we got a dinner in Guatemala. The rice and beans were great!
We had carlota for dessert. It was equally amazing - like a fruity, slightly lime layered banana-pudding style only even richer and topped with tiny pieces of orange.
